Myself and my sister had a winter weekend break and booked Riad Alwachma as the reviews were great. When we arrived at the airport we were met by the Riad's driver and taken to the hotel he was friendly and helpful and gave us a map of the city and pointed out interesting sights. On arrival at the Riad Helene met with us and checked us in whilst having a lovely mint tea and biscuits, we were shown to our room which was on the ground floor and it was lovely, decorated with great taste. The room was very comfortable had everything you need, tv, ac, hairdryer and a heater if you needed. We then went to explore the main square and after a 10 minute walk from the Riad we were in the middle of this amazing sense overload! We returned to the riad for dinner the first evening and it was fantastic we had 3 morrocan salads, chicken tagine with potatoes and a lovely fresh orange with chocolate for pudding. The breakfast at the Riad can be taken on the roof terrace or the courtyard we did both during our stay, breakfast was lovely fresh breads, coffee, eggs and yogurt with small pots of jam and butter it was served with a smile and the 2 guys who work there are amazing, very friendly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We did a city exploring tour which lasted all day but saw all the sights and then on the return to the riad we had a hamman and massage which was well needed after a 9 hour walking tour of the city! All in all a great stay, really friendly staff, great location and I would recommend this to anyone.

Early check-in, parking nearby. Spa therapy and massage therapy were available at extra cost. Location very close to the principal sightseeing, main attractions, and the main square. Also, near everything we could want to see.

I spent 3 wonderful days at Riad Alwachma and would stay here again without hesitation. I appreciated the place; everything was fab. The breakfast on the rooftop was rich and had a good choice of food. The hotel was beautifully designed and in a central location.

Its rooms are nicely decorated with large shower, nice windows, as example. The property's location is gorgeous, close enough to other tourist attractions, Alwachma and the desert.

The breakfast was delicious with yogurt, fruits, and freshly squeezed orange juice, and the hotel's location was particularly good for visiting the Saadian Tombs.

Beautiful oasis of relaxation in the heart of chaotic Marrakesch. Lovely architecture. I loved the little garden-courtyard and the simple, fine traditionally Moroccan style of the rooms. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming, yet in a typically relaxed, slow-motion Moroccan way. Do not expect the fake, impersonal, efficiency of a Hilton hotel. Things there are going to be done with a smile -after the prayer, if that is due - and with no rush. Maybe in the meanwhile you can have a cup (or a quarter of a cup) of the traditional mint tea with home made cookies in the courtyard...Welcome to Morocco!
The beauty of the place lies in the fact that it is right in the middle of the old city, Medina. But be prepared to a proper maze-game to go back to the hotel, especially overnight. We got lost a few times, and when it is dark and late...

The owners and staff were very helpful and went out of their ways to ensure you well happy and enjoying your stay. The food is excellent, but you must request to have dinner served in the morning right after breakfast. Free WiFi, but eco-lighting makes it hard to see keyboard, eco-lighting is very good for romance if you are a couple
Not much I did not like, but it is a little hard to find, if you ask for directions to the Mosquee de Doukkala or La Maison Restaurant the cab drivers will know where you want to go! It can get a little noisy, but that is the guest coming back in from having fun out on the town and not the riad's fault There is no riad car parking, so you must park at the Mosquee de Doukkala concession area lot about 75 yards away.
